Cathedral and 20/20
After i read both Brewer's "20/20" and Carver's "Cathedral", i noticed a similar theme between the two that i thought was interesting. They both have a theme of the difference between having vision and "looking", and actually comprehending and "seeing". Even though "20/20" is seemingly unrelated to "Cathedral", both have character's that see things differently. I liked how in "Cathedral" the narrator "sees" for the first time with his eyes closed, showing you don't need to look to "see". And in "20/20", two people can have the same perfect vision and the same scene laid out before them but they still see two completely different things.
