A&P

What i liked about Updike's "A&P" is that it's relatable. Sometimes, things happen and good deeds go unnoticed and unrewarded. It makes the narrator seem relatable because i feel like that's the way the world really works. A lot of bad people get away with horrible deeds, and heroes aren't always recognized. Even though the narrator quit his job because it seemed like the good thing to do, he is left with no job and no prospects for his future.
